Catherine Sullivan Centre therapists regularly support local preschools and childcare centres attended by children enrolled in the program. This gives the therapists an opportunity to assist preschool teachers in understanding the needs of the child with a hearing loss and observe the child in the preschool environment. Catherine Sullivan Centre therapists also liaise with the preschool teachers if and when required and make available to them the child’s Individual Education Plan and each Child’s Progress Report. Catherine Sullivan Centre also offers a quality resource with information regarding hearing loss, acoustics and techniques that support a child with hearing loss: Information for Preschools.
